Victor Cafe
In 1908, young Italian immigrant John DiStefano journeyed to America, unsure of his future, but very sure of his passion for classical music and opera. Little did he know that almost a century later his passion and legacy would live on at Victor Café, the “Music Lovers’ Rendezvous.” A quaint Italian bistro, housed in two South Philadelphia brownstones, the Victor Café has a grouping of intimate dining rooms, including a romantic candlelit lounge, where diners can enjoy fabulous Italian food along with the beautiful sounds of live opera performed by the staff at the restaurant. Seven nights a week, you will find them eager to please your culinary requests and even more eager to satisfy your appetite for fine opera. The talented staff brings an interesting twist to your private party and valet parking is available. Only in South Philadelphia will your waiter pour you a glass of vino, then, at the signal of a ringing bell, belt out "O’Sole Mio" before serving your salad. It makes for a truly entertaining evening.
