Stephen Starr’s restaurant, designed by renowned firm David Schefer Design, brings together the vitality of Mediterranean cuisine with the posh coolness of Starr’s other successful ventures (Alma de Cuba, El Vez, Buddakan). From the candlelit, pebble-lined entryway to the intricate latticework and beaded curtains of the main dining room, Tangerine provides a lush setting for tasty dishes such as chickpea crêpes and harissa gnocchi, pan-seared red snapper or pistachio-crusted duck breast, all capped by a chocolate polenta financière and banana crème brûlée. Tangerine complements these offerings with delicious drinks such as The Tangerine (tangerine purée, vanilla vodka and club soda) and Damask Rose (Hendricks gin, rose water, splash of cranberry). As its name suggests, Tangerine is a succulently sweet dining experience.
